We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with an analytical mindset and, ideally, a technical background. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of backend systems, API integrations, and front-end solutions. While the primary focus will be on manual testing, there is an opportunity to explore and implement test automation where applicable.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual testing for web systems, backend services, and API integrations.
  • Develop and execute detailed test cases in Gherkin syntax.
  • Identify, document, and track bug reports.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and project managers.
  • Test and validate API endpoints - including request/response validation, chaining requests, and verifying data flows.
  • Perform end-to-end workflow testing across multiple modules, validating dependencies.
  • Conduct data validation through basic SQL/NoSQL queries and log analysis to confirm data accuracy.
  • Test across modules implemented in different technology stacks.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor application performance and user behavior.
  • Contribute to QA strategy improvements, optimizing testing methodologies and processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • English communication skills (preferably Intermediate+).
  • 5+ years of experience testing websites and APIs.
  • Strong API testing skills - request/response validation, chaining requests, and experience with tools like Postman or Swagger.
  • Experience testing backend systems, especially Python-based applications.
  • Basic SQL/NoSQL querying skills and ability to perform log analysis.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing of multi-module dependencies in distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of website performance testing and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in web applications.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus.
  • Experience using Gherkin is a plus.
  • Technical background (e.g., prior development, scripting, or system integration experience) is highly desirable.
