We are looking for a Senior Laravel Engineer to join our client’s team. The client is building a B2B marketplace connecting brands with agencies, and you will contribute to improving and evolving an existing web application.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a web application using PHP 8 (Laravel), Vue.js, MySQL, Redis, queues, Docker, and GitLab;
- Take ownership of backend architecture and API design;
- Collaborate with the team on new features, changes, and improvements;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues;
- Perform code reviews;
- Improve development processes and workflow automation, including AI tools.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience with PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (Vue.js), and MySQL;
- Strong experience with backend architecture, performance optimization, and API development;
- Solid understanding of OOP and Laravel core concepts;
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, Redis, and queues;
- Experience with testing and debugging tools (PHPUnit, Xdebug);
- Good written and spoken English;
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership;
- Proactive approach to improving the product and sharing knowledge.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with application performance and security optimization;
- Familiarity with AI tools and AI-assisted development workflows;
- Experience with other front-end technologies or JavaScript frameworks;
- Familiarity with modern IDEs such as Cursor, Windsurf, or similar.
