We are looking for an experienced Shopify Backend Developer to join our team. The role focuses on building and maintaining Shopify apps, checkout extensions, and backend integrations, with some front-end work as needed. You will work with a distributed team to deliver reliable, scalable e-commerce solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps and checkout extensions;
- Build backend services using Node.js, GraphQL, and Prisma (any SQL/NoSQL DB);
- Integrate Shopify Admin, Storefront, and Checkout APIs;
- Implement front-end components using Liquid, JavaScript, Tailwind, Alpine.js, and Swiper.js;
- Collaborate with designers and frontend developers to deliver complete features;
- Estimate tasks, meet agreed timelines, and communicate progress clearly;
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Shopify solutions;
- Follow clean code and version control practices (Git).
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience;
- Experience with Shopify Apps and Checkout Extensions;
- Backend skills with Node.js and GraphQL;
- Experience with Prisma and working with databases (any DB);
- Working knowledge of React (mainly for app UI/admin);
- Frontend experience with Liquid, JS, CSS, Tailwind, Alpine.js;
- Ability to work independently in a distributed team;
- Clear written and spoken English.
